Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out the rules for using the MeritLift platform.

1. General Use

Users must use the platform responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws. You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for unlawful purposes
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the platform

2. Account Use

  • Accounts must not be shared between users.
  • Parents are responsible for student account activity.
  • Users must keep login details secure.

3. Examination Rules

To ensure fairness and integrity:

  • Tests must be taken independently.
  • Users must not attempt to copy, distribute, or share exam content.
  • Users must not use external assistance during exams.

4. Prohibited Behaviour

You must not:

  • Attempt to bypass system controls or restrictions
  • Use automated tools or scripts
  • Interfere with exam timers or system processes
  • Engage in inappropriate conduct or behaviour during online sessions or exams, whether toward staff, other students, or the platform itself

Anyone involved in misconduct under this section may have their access terminated or be barred from the platform, in addition to the other consequences in Section 6.

5. Monitoring

To maintain exam integrity, the platform may monitor session activity during tests. This may include detecting unusual behaviour patterns.

6. Consequences of Violations

If you violate this policy, we may:

  • Invalidate test results
  • Restrict access to the platform
  • Suspend or terminate your account
