Terms of Service

Effective Date: 22/04/2026

Welcome to MeritLift. By accessing or using this website, or purchasing or using our services, you agree to the following terms.

1. Use of Website

This website is provided for informational purposes about MeritLift’s educational services.

You agree to use the website responsibly and not misuse any features, including submitting false or inappropriate information through the contact form.

1.1 Brand Architecture & Independent Legal Entities

Users of the Website acknowledge that MeritLift and MS Dewan Classes are shared commercial trade names and digital platforms. Educational services displayed under these names are delivered exclusively by two distinct, legally and financially independent Sole Proprietorships registered in India:

  1. Senior & Secondary Programs (Year 5–6 Mastery, KS2 SATs, KS3): Owned and operated solely by Maanvi Kalra (GSTIN: 06AOBPK8629L1ZL).
  2. Junior Foundations Program (Year 3–4 Junior Pathway): Owned and operated solely by Shipra Chawla (GSTIN: 06ATZPD0871E1ZL).

Both entities operate independently under a shared brand alliance. Upon enrolment, your service contract, payment processing, and consumer data handling are strictly between you (the parent/guardian) and the designated independent educator running that specific pathway. Neither entity acts as a legal partner, agent, cross-guarantor, or joint venture for the other, and neither party accepts legal or financial liability for the services or actions of the other.

2. Accounts

  • Parent/guardian accounts must be created or authorised by a parent/guardian; children do not hold their own login.
  • You are responsible for maintaining your account's security and for all activity under it.
  • Providing false or misleading information is prohibited.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on this website and on the platform, including text, design, graphics, logos, mock exams, curriculum content, teaching materials, and strategies, is owned by or licensed to MeritLift. These materials are for your personal use only and must not be shared, recorded, distributed, or reproduced without our prior written permission.

4. Examinations

  • Exams are time-bound and may be automatically submitted when time expires.
  • Purchased mock exams have no fixed calendar sitting window — you can start one at any time and retake it, unlike a course-scheduled live mock, which runs within its assigned window.
  • Rankings and results are generated based on system calculations.
  • You must follow all exam rules during participation, and must not attempt to bypass exam controls or share account access.

5. Monitoring and Integrity

To maintain fairness, the platform may track session activity and detect unusual behaviour during exams. A violation of the examination rules may result in a test result being invalidated, access being restricted, or an account being suspended or terminated.

6. Payments, Currency, and Billing Information

6.1. Accepted Payment Methods

Fees for tuition, courses, mock examinations, and digital subscriptions may be paid via approved payment channels made available at checkout (including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, or authorised third-party payment providers). MeritLift reserves the right to update or modify supported payment gateways at any time without prior notice.

6.2. Collection of Billing Details

To comply with financial regulations, anti-fraud standards, tax laws, and requirements set by financial institutions or payment processors, users may be required to provide billing details, including a valid billing/physical address, at the time of checkout.

6.3. Pricing & Currency

All fees must be paid in full prior to granting access to live sessions or digital content. Parents/guardians are responsible for any currency conversion or transaction fees levied by their respective payment providers.

  • Fees may be quoted in GBP or USD depending on the student's location.
  • Fees for ongoing tuition must be paid in advance of each billing cycle; access to sessions is dependent on receipt of payment.
  • Refunds and cancellations are governed by our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable services but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

8. Export Status

Where services are provided to students located outside India, such services may be treated as export of services under applicable Indian tax laws, including the IGST Act, 2017.

9. No Guarantee of Results

While MeritLift aims to provide high-quality educational support, we do not guarantee specific exam outcomes, rankings, or school placements. Student performance depends on multiple factors, including individual effort, consistency, and external examination conditions.

10. Information Accuracy

We aim to keep information accurate and up to date. However, we do not guarantee that all content is complete or error-free.

11. Testimonials and Results

Any testimonials or student outcomes presented on this website are based on individual experiences.

They are provided for illustrative purposes only and do not guarantee similar results.

12. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services, including approved payment processors, hosting providers, and communication tools, to operate and improve the website and platform. We are not responsible for the practices or content of such third parties.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MeritLift shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website or the platform.

14. International Delivery and Outcomes Disclaimer

Educational services are delivered online from India to students and families located internationally, including in the United Kingdom.

Results from educational support vary depending on student engagement and learning pace. Specific academic outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website or platform indicates acceptance of any updates.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. All educational services under these Terms are deemed rendered and delivered from India, and any disputes, claims, or proceedings arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

This clause is subject to any mandatory consumer protection or other rights that cannot be excluded under the law of the country in which you are habitually resident. Nothing in this Section limits any protection you are entitled to under such mandatory local law.
