Children’s Privacy Policy

MeritLift provides services for students under the supervision of a parent or guardian, who remains responsible for managing the student's account throughout.

1. Parental Control

• Accounts must be created or approved by a parent/guardian.
• Parents are responsible for managing student accounts.

2. Data Collected

We collect limited information about students, including:

• Name or identifier
• Email address and contact number (parent/guardian's, for account and communication purposes)
• Academic level
• Exam responses and results
• Testimonials, where submitted through an enquiry form and given with consent (see Privacy Policy)

3. Purpose

This data is used only to:

• Provide educational services
• Generate performance insights

4. Parental Rights

Parents may:

• Access their child's data
• Request corrections or deletion
• Withdraw consent

5. No Tracking or Targeted Advertising

In compliance with Section 9 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, MeritLift does not undertake any behavioural monitoring, tracking of online activity, or profiling of students, and does not serve targeted advertising directed at students on the platform. Data collected under Section 2 above is used solely to provide and improve the educational services requested — never for behavioural analysis, profiling, or ad targeting.

We take appropriate steps to protect children's data and limit access to authorised personnel only.
